This accessibility statement applies to www.nollalinja.fi. The statement was prepared based on an accessibility assessment carried out by Annanpura Oy on 14 January 2020 and updated on 28 January 2025. The section on the chat service was updated on 27 January 2025.
Digital service accessibility status
The service meets all WCAG 2.1 A and AA level criteria.
Chat service accessibility status
The Nollalinja chat service is provided by Elisa Oyj. No accessibility shortcomings prevent the use of the chat service with a screen reader or a keyboard alone.
The following shortcomings have been observed in the accessibility of the chat feature:
- There are shortcomings in the accessibility of the chat closing feature when using the chat with the keyboard. For screen reader users, button elements would be easier to find compared to the currently used tab structure and roles.
- The closing feature is complicated/inconsistent. The expand button is just a “span” without a clear role. The same functionality can be achieved in three different places: the chat title, the close icon and the expand/reduce button.
- There are shortcomings in the language labels for functionalities, i.e. there are no separate language specifications for the text sections in different languages.
- The table included in the structure is not marked with a presentation role even though the table structure has been used for layout.
- In the chat area, messages are displayed in a single list, with each message as a separate list item (ul). From the perspective of accessibility, it is recommended that the list structure be completely abandoned, which also eliminates overlapping list structures.
- There is no information at the beginning of the chat content whether a customer service representative is present to read the messages.
- The contrast between timestamps and the “Powered by” text is insufficient.
- There is no direct jump link to the chat.
We have informed the service provider of the accessibility shortcomings and requested that they be corrected.
